The Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra recently announced its first annual big band-themed gala, “Bing, Bing, Swing!”. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 12 at the Binghamton Club.
Bing, Bing, Swing! will include dance instruction, hors d’oeuvres, and of course live music. Attendees will also have access to complimentary cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages. Boston singer Amanda Carr will perform alongside a live swing orchestra led by Maestro Daniel Hege. Together, the group will play music from the Great American Songbook.
Originally created in 1955, the Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra is the largest and oldest symphony in the Southern Tier of New York. The organization is dedicated to building and nourishing a community through performances and education, reaching over 10,000 people a year through its diverse and affordable programming
Bing, Bing, Swing! runs 6:30 PM-9:00 PM. Tickets are $100 per person and $180 per couple before Aug. 7. After that, tickets are $110 per person and $200 per couple. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door. Organizers suggest black-tie attire.
