Andy Falco never ceases to amaze me. His talents know no end. He dips in and out of genres like a true master of his craft.
On Saturday, it was the Blues… He assembled an all star group including, Damian Calcagne on keys, Jackson Kincheloe on Harmonica, (brother) Patrick Falco on bass and on drums (same name no relation) Lee Falco.

Lee is not only a highly stylized and talented drummer but the owner of the Falcon. This place was an absolute gem from top to bottom. I wouldn’t know where to begin… but the property is a jewel box, tucked on a corner including a water fall, outdoor seating, two floors both with stages and bars. The upstairs is a sit down dinner club. Impeccable art choices decorate a post and beam building. Every detail down to the menu are carefully curated.

Back to the music, Andy Falco plays a lot of Bluegrass for his ‘day’ job with the Infamous Stringdusters. But he has proven to be multi faceted musically. He also does a “tribute thing” to Jerry Garcia with band mate Travis Book doing small runs, a couple of times a year and a smattering of duo shows mixed into Duster festival gigs and tour schedule. He took lead guitar for the Blues Lab.
On Bass, Andy’s brother Pat Falco. The man holding it all down. The Falco brothers play together a lot around Long Island where they hail from. So they are dialed in. They added Damian Calcagne on keys. Because you can’t have the Blues without a little tickling of the ol’ ivories. He proved up to the task and a fantastic choice. You also can’t even think about the Blues without a harmonica. And on Harp was Jackson Kincheloe just killing’ it! This man rolled up with a case full of harmonicas and went to work.
Bobby Hawk sat in with his fiddle and while not a trad Blues instrument this ensemble made it work for them. Because good music is just good damn music. Bobby undoubtably understood the assignment and seamlessly plugged in.
