Reuben Raters is a series that we started highlighting all Reuben sandwiches across the Capital Region. We started our reuben journey at the beginning of 2024 and it is a bi-weekly series where Frankie Cavone gives his thoughts and breakdown of each sandwich. Now what actually makes a great reuben? It’s quality corned beef, a loving amount of russian or 1000 island dressing, a regular amount of Swiss cheese, an underwhelming amount of sauerkraut, and quality rye bread.
