From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank everyone for toughing it through the weather this weekend at Wild in the Trees Music and Skate Festival and making it two days we will never forget.

So much could have went wrong, but collectively with the help from you guys were still able to pull this event off for the second year in a grand fashion. Watching the sun rise at the skate plaza on the morning of day 1 and seeing the flooding near the stage really put knots in our stomach. I really need to thank to Brett, Dougie and especially Mountain Bear for keeping the atmosphere positive the whole time. At that point, we knew it wasn’t going to kill the first day of festivities and this is where I need to thank Mike at The Trap for allowing us to bring most of the music and vendors over to his incredible establishment. 4 out of 6 acts were still able to perform including Hilltop the Band, FUNGKSHUI, The Skunches and Two Planets Away. Extra big shout out to the Perry brothers for helping run sound for all of the other acts throughout day 1!

On Day 2, we arrived to dry grounds and were able to pull off everything we hoped to with top notch sets from Joe Mansman, The Hauntings, Fine Grain, Shu and Candy Ambulance.15 years ago we started the fundraising efforts for the Lake George Skate Plaza and to see it full of people of all ages enjoying themselves and having a sense of comradery with each other is what it was all about. What made it even better was seeing the music scene get behind skateboarding and watching friends of the community I know really getting into the competition.

None of this would have been possible without the help of Chuck and the Empire Audio team who kept everyone sounding great. Thank you to Mountain Bear for being there for us throughout the duration of the 2 days helping the whole time when he could have just enjoyed himself. Mountain Bear for President 2024!

Thank you to all of our vendors who were able to stick it out, even more since half of them drove hours out of their way to sell product and also be able to switch venues in a matter of hours on day 1.

Thank you to all of our sponsors including Lake George Steamboat Company, Ginter Electric and Mechanical, Valhalla Dry Wall, Northern Wardens, Uncommon Grounds, Pizza Jerks, SF Janitorial, Corners, Seasons Skateshop, Law Office of Paul Ryan, Altered Apparel, Sully’s East and Radio Radio X. Thank you to Ronald McDonald House of the Capital Region for allowing us to help contribute to your great cause(Total Money Raised will be shared!).

At the end of the day, I REALLLLY need to thank my partners Brett Porter and Doug Quimby for always being by my side and putting their full hearts into Wild in the Trees and all things Mirth Films. The journey would not be nearly as fun and none of this would have been possible!

Should we do Wild in the Trees again? Let us know and until then, stay tuned for more content fellow Mirthlings.
