Apple Pie eased into the night at El Dorado in Troy, NY on August 19th, opening with a calm that had the room quiet and focused. Their set gently lulled the crowd in, creating a space where everyone could settle into the night together.

Good Sleepy quickly brought that focus back to life, filling the room with an infectious energy that had people moving from the start. Front and center, one attendee immediately threw themselves into the music, singing along and inviting those around them to return that energy. Senior Living carried that momentum forward, bringing friends and new faces together as the room continued to warm up.

After a sudden venue change and the challenge of starting a festival on a Wednesday, the first night of Door Daze ended up feeling intimate in a way that felt almost fitting. Doors at 7 began from that same kind of intimacy—small rooms, close crowds, and a community gathering simply because they wanted to be there and share in the music.

So while this may not have been the opening night anyone originally imagined, it felt like a return to those roots. A little smaller, a little closer, and centered around the same thing Doors at 7 has always been about: bringing people together in a room and letting the music do the rest.
