Stan Johnson

Riverlink Park is a beautiful park on the south bank of the Mohawk River accessible by twin walkways from downtown Amsterdam. Photographer Stan Johnson has been documenting these concerts through his photography since the early 2000s.

Although this is Stanley’s first exhibit, he is no stranger to photography. He has been a professional photographer since 1973. A graduate of University of South Carolina School of Journalism, he has worked as a journalist, as well as a school photographer for Ramark Varden, Lauren, McGrath and Carlyn studios,

As a music photographer his work has appeared in Buzz, Nippertown.com and vintagerock.com.

Presently, he is my partner in crime as a staff photographer at Music Haven.

Exhibit

The exhibit consists of 10 framed photos and a 130 slide show on the large screen television of 2nd Act Spirits, the bar hosting the exhibit.

Among the framed photographs are portraits of Greg Haymes, Evan Conway, Evan Gavry, Rhett Tyler, Joziah Longo (Slambovian Circus of Dreams), Michael Eck, Jocelyn Arndt,Sarah Pedinotti, Kevin Maul and the park flooding in 2011.

The slide show showed other performances into the 2010’s.

2nd Act Spirits

Second Act Spirits is one of several small businesses located in the Clock Tower. It is on the first floor, they are a cocktail lounge as well as a retail distillery.

The exhibit can be viewed until the end of the month. There is a strong possibility that the slide show will continue to be on the television screen for Contact secondactspirits.com for hours and more information.
