moe. returned to the Palace Theatre in Albany, NY since 2023 to celebrate 35 years of the band along with the retirement of Greg Bell. Eastbound Jesus got the night started with their signature northern rock style. This was the bands first time back at the beloved venue since 2022. For their last song, they rocked the house with “Grapplin’ Greg” to honor Mr. Bell which also featured a Dr. Jah and the Love Prophets tease.
moe. kicked off the show with “All Roads Lead To Home,” followed up with “Bat Country,” Next it was time to bring it back to the closings with “Crab Eyes” and “She Sends Me.” The highlight of the first set was a cover of the Allman Brothers “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed” which featured solo trade offs between Al Schnier and Chuck Garvey.
For set 2, it was all about “Moth” and “Brent Black.” Two songs in moe.’s repertoire that always get the moe.rons on their feet. During Al’s announcements, the band brought up their dear friend Greg Bell to honor his 30 plus years of the business. Greg made a speech and did his famous howl to keep the energy high. moe. came back on for the encore playing Grateful Dead’s “Cassidy” and “Downward Facing Dog.” Check out the full setlist below along with photos.
