Okay, you have just got invited to a family party or a pot luck with friends and you want to impress them with your “signature dish.” But wait, you don’t have one! Well take it from me, if you want to knock their socks off, give my Buffalo Chicken Dip a try. A dish that will for sure win over your friends and family.
It is fairly easy to make and takes about an hour or so from front to back. Try not to eat it all before arriving to the party!
Ingredients:
- Chicken (1-1.5 lbs)
- Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Wings Hot Sauce, (12 fl oz)
- Regular Hot Sauce
- Cream Cheese(8 oz.)
- Blue Cheese(roughly 4 oz.)
- Hidden Valley Ranch(roughly 10-11 oz)
- Shredded 3-Cheese Blend(16 oz)
- Olive Oil
- Black Pepper
- Adobo Seasoning
- McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning
- Scoops
Directions:
- Season the raw chicken with McCormick Montreal Steak seasoning and Adobo Seasoning. Then, fry the chicken on a pan with a little of olive oil or even grill it. Once thoroughly cooked, place the chicken in the fridge to cool it down. It will make it easier to hand shred when the time comes.
- In a medium sauce pan at medium heat, put the whole packet of cream cheese directly in followed by the whole bottle of Frank’s Buffalo Chicken Wing Sauce. Constantly stir it until the cream cheese completely melts.
- Now its time to add your Hidden Valley Ranch and Blue Cheese. Put nearly two thirds of the bottle of ranch into the medium sauce pan and roughly a third of a bottle of blue cheese. After stirring everything together, give it a taste. If it is not that spicy, add any regular hot sauce to taste.
- Put in some black pepper. Just enough to the point where you can notice it throughout the pan. Don’t go overkill.
- Now, take the chicken out of the fridge and hand shred it all into the medium sauce pan. The thinner the shred, the better. This is the most time consuming part, but is one of the most important and worth all the time it takes!
- After mixing in the chicken, It is time to add the shredded 3-cheese blend. This cheese serves two purposes. The first is to add a little extra flavor. The second is to add thickness to the overall dip. You want it to be on thicker side so it holds well. Slowly sprinkle in the cheese until you reach the thickness you want.
- Once you have finished the process, put the dip in a bread pan or small glass baking pan at 350 degrees for 5 minutes.
- You have finished! if you want to spruce up the look of your buffalo chicken dip, add scallions on top! Best served with Tostitos Scoops. Enjoy!
