You’ve heard of expression: “If you can’t take the heat get out of the Kitchen.” Well, that sentiment rings true every time the Kitchen Dwellers take the stage.
On Sunday night November 9th, the Kitchen Dwellers took to their usual Capital District haunt at the Cohoes Music Hall. They have been coming to this venue for a few years now and they never disappoint!
When they hit the stage local fans and faithful followers alike erupted as they knew their faces would be melted, and their bodies unable to stop the feverish boogie that was about to ensue… They opened with a couple older tunes pulling folks closer in, building a fire, and didn’t let up the entire first set.
After a short set break the boys came back for a second set that was as equally as magical. The evening including a healthy smattering of new tunes off their latest full length studio album, Seven Devils. Folks raged, people held their hands over their hearts, eyes closed, smiles wide, soaking in the healing that is live music. This band has dialed in exactly how to bring magic to the hearts of everyone in the room.
They ending the evening with an encore around a single mic for, as Torrin announced, “we’re going to play some bluegrass tunes now.”
If you missed them in Cohoes and don’t mind a short drive the Kitchen Dwellers will be playing The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA on Thursday 11/13 followed by Higher Ground in South Burlington, VT on Friday 11/14 and finishing their northeastern leg of Fall tour at the State Theater in Portland, ME 11/15.
