Women’s History Month is in full swing and the Albany Comedy crew is celebrating the only way they know how- with laughter! They presented a wonderfully unique show at The Van Dyck in Schenectady, NY on Wednesday, March 5th, 2025, at 7pm. Local comic and producer, Bri Morrison, produced and hosted this epic show.

The venue was just about packed out with men and women. The old school architecture creates a beautiful atmosphere for any event. The owner, Chris, is beyond welcoming and supportive of the local comics in the scene! If you ever find yourself there, make sure you indulge in some pasta. You won’t regret it!

Bri’s vision came to life beautifully. The all women lineup was tasked with picking either a person, place, thing, or event of Women’s History to create a fun and entertaining presentation for the audience. The lineup consisted of; Alanna Gill, Jill Sizzle, Jodi Yuen, Kay Goutos (me), Melanie Bradshaw, and Thea Rogers. Topics ranged from famous women like Mary Shelley and Amelia Earhart to the history of motherhood and more! Each performance was informative and had the crowd roaring with laughter. The show was an absolute hit.

No need to fret if you missed this show! There is another one on the books for Wednesday, March 19th, 2025. Doors are at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7pm. The fresh lineup has comedians Athena Pepe, Dee Bellinger, Elizabeth Becz, Kailey Strafford, Rae Vos, and Zoe Eleni. Tickets are $10 and can be acquired at the door.
