Bowling and laughter really just goes hand-in-hand. Albany Comedy knows this, so they presented a FREE Comedy Showcase at LG Lanes & Games in Lake George, NY at 8pm on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025. The successful showcase was produced and hosted by Lake George local comedian and producer, Kay Goutos (me).
This was the first comedy show thrown at this venue. The recently renovated room inside was big and the perfect setup for a comedy show. Cold drink specials and warm food were abundant and served by a friendly staff. Customers were encouraged to utilize a deal for a game of bowling post show!
The lineup was as follows; myself as the host, Brad Monkell, Elizabeth Becz, Greg Creft, and Grady Dixson. Padrick Smith played a big role as announcer and sound engineer.
My set was light-hearted yet edgy and had a good amount of energy right upfront. Brad’s self-deprecating humor was received well and flowed nicely into Elizabeth’s hysterical and a little bit raunchy humor. Greg as always had a funny, solid set that had the crowd ready for Grady’s goofy and well constructed jokes.
The 30 plus audience members were super fun and present. They were the perfect blend of locals and tourists and they shared some big laughs throughout the evening. I can definitely state that everyone agreed it was a great way to spend an evening at the Lake George Winter Carnival.

Make sure you throw it in your calendars, tell your friends, and prepare for an unforgettable night in the Village of Lake George. Don’t forget to either come early or plan to stay late so that you can double up on fun with a game or two of bowling!
