On April 4th, Neil Benjamin Jr. will be launching his own promotion company Mango Cat Presents which is focused on bringing myriad musical talent to venues in the Capital Region. The launch party is set to take place at Ophelia’s in Albany, NY with live performances by TV Doctors and Dysfuntone. 

The inspiration for the name of the company comes from his cat hence the name. Neil stated “I could not think of a better way to throw MCP’s hat into the ring than by having two of my favorite bands team up for a relentless night of music at Ophelia’s…This is also a thank you to both groups, as they were both instrumental in my education learning live promotion.”

Benjamin is no stranger to the behind the scenes of the music industry. For year’s he was one of the top writers for NYSMusic.com along with contributing his energy at Lark Hall, one of the Capital Region’s best music venues. The first time he booked a show, he was only 16 so you already know his heart is in this.
