Glass Pony kicked off their 2025 schedule of concerts on January 17th at Ophelia’s in Broadway in Albany, NY. The venue feels like home for them with memorable performances at the venue over the years. Opening up the night for them was Canopy, an exciting groove/funk band based out of Connecticut. Their sound was tight and seasoned and hope to seem them return to the Capital Region again soon!

Glass Pony kicked off the night with “Bottom of the Ocean” before segueing into 2001. After the incredibly fun cover, it was time to get “Too Close to the Sun.” “Friday Afternoon Book Club” was to follow “Swing That Maximus,” a newer song penned by front man Eddie Hotaling. Then it was time to go to Hollywood with “Lights Out. The band also debuted a new song called “Winter Sun”. The end of the night wrapped up with “Kitty” a cover by President of the United States of America which the band has at this point put their take on it making it a song of their own. Overall, this was a incredibly strong performance by Glass Pony and can’t wait to see them back at The Hollow in Albany, NY on February 21st.
