Friday February 23rd was truly a blast from the past, starting off with a bang at the historic Cohoes Music Hall. Located in the heart of downtown Cohoes, NY this vintage venue adds just the right touch to the show we’re seeing…Crystal Ship: A Tribute to The Doors.

Personally I’m a long time listener and lover of The Doors so this is very exciting getting in and finding seats just as the show stars. The crowd is already buzzing;  the projector begins to play and it’s a clip from Jim Morrison’s original Film HWY: An American Pastoral. The band walks out and the crowd lit up, starting out hot with Soul Kitchen they continued with hit after hit all night.

Overall the night was full of classic, powerful, soulful Doors tunes which certainly scratched an itch. The vibes were definitely there from all the fans here for the same thing to the band giving us an unforgettable show experience that everyone had hoped for.
