In this lens review, we check out the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM and why its an incredible option for Canon DSLR and Mirrorless shooters. The lens was released in 2012 and currently goes for $1899 new and roughly $1200 used. The reason why I bought this lens was because not only does it produce great results, it also is much more affordable than the RF version. The lens produces beautiful background blur with sharp results.
This lens is especially great for those graduating from Canon 24-105mm f/4 lens which also has its benefits. But at the end of the day, i’d take the f/2.8 aperture over an extra 35mm of reach. The one downside to this lens is the fact that The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM is weather sealed with top notch build quality.
