Camera Review: DJI Osmo Pocket 3

The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is the newest edition to the pocket line from the camera manufacturer giving the camera a complete overhaul, creating for almost the perfect travel camera. With a bigger sensor, bigger screen and bigger ambitions.

There are so many great things about the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 so lets first talk about the bigger sensor, 1 inch in fact. Having the bigger sensor allows to capture video better and cleaner in low light. The video quality is also beautiful in daylight situations. So good in fact I felt like it could keep up with my Canon R5 if I wanted to use the footage together.

Aside from the screen also being much bigger than the Pocket 2, it also can rotate allowing for the ability to shoot vertical video properly. This is something very important in today’s age with the boom of TikTok and Instagram reels. The video quality is also nothing to joke at as well with having the ability to shoot up to 4K 60fps and Slow Motion up to 240 fps in 1080p. Vertically, it can shoot up to 3k in 60fps.

With the announcemnet of the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 also came the announcement of the DJI Mic 2 system which is incredible and makes it worth it to purchase the creators combo package for the camera. The DJI Mic 2 automatically connect to the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 if they are both on. What is even cooler is that you can use up to 2 DJI Mic 2’s with the Osmo Pocket 3 at the same time!

Other great features include the ability to shoot in HLG and D-Cinelike color profiles to get more dynamic range out of your camera. It also has a ton of shooting modes including Video, Lowlight Video, Slow-Mo, Timelapse, Photo and Panorama. While I could go on for days about how incredible the DJI Osmo Pocket is, I decided to make a video about how much I actually love this camera. It is on me at all times no matter the situation I am in. Watch the full video review below and don’t forget to subscribe to Mirth Films on YouTube:
