Gallery: 4/20 with Dr. Jah and the Love Prophets

Whether you celebrate it or not, 420 is one of the best days of the year to catch your favorite band. And this year marked the first year the toker’s holiday was completely legal in New York. What better way to celebrate than with one of the 518’s longest-standing reggae bands — Dr Jah and the Love Prophets? They played at The Hollow in downtown Albany, NY thanks to Guthrie Bell productions.
As usual, these dudes have a damn good time on that stage. They play reggae as well as reggae-infused covers of bands like The Grateful Dead. Of course, because it is reggae, the music is already largely about our favorite plant. However, Dr Jah and the Love Prophets brought the heat in every possible way, including a setlist that was almost 100 percent about cannabis.
It was a wonderful night full of raffles, goodies from Maple Jane, and music that kept the dance floor packed. Check out our full gallery below:
