On Friday, April 7th, The Hollow in downtown Albany, NY hosted a night full of buttery smooth vocals and juicy old-school rock-and-roll. While it was much cooler outside than any of us wanted it to be, it was plenty warm inside, however. Because, despite the fact that there were several shows in the area, Mallett Brother’s fans packed The Hollow absolutely ready to party.
Will Overmann
While he usually travels with a full band, Will Overmann opened the show solo — using only his voice, harmonica, and guitar. It was my first time seeing both of these acts and I was immediately blown away by Overmann’s rich, creamy, and delicious vocals. If you’re like me, and you haven’t had a chance to hear this delightful artist, check out his upcoming tour dates and see him as soon as possible.
The Mallett Brothers Band
Once again, if you’re like me and you have been sleeping on seeing the Mallett Brothers live — stop that right now. These dudes hit all the right notes in every possible way. They are rock-and-roll with a twist. Whether you are nostalgic for some old-school type rock, or you simply want something a little different, you’re going to want to go see the Mallett Brothers as soon as possible at one of their upcoming tour dates.
