The Charlatans and Ride are currently on a co-headlining tour, each celebrating a landmark album by playing it in full every night. They have been switching who closes each night and in Boston at Big Night Live that went to Ride, so a little after 8 PM The Charlatans came out to kick the evening off. With a back to front rendition of Between 10th and 11th, Tim Burgess and company had the crowd going wild. Tim never stopped moving all night and the rest of the band were completely locked in. Adding an additional seven songs to the set afterwards, the crowd had already gotten their money’s worth. After a brief break, Ride came out and played an astonishing take on Nowhere including the cd bonus tracks. From there the band played another six songs, as well as premiering a brand new song, for their longest encore of the tour yet. This is a tour not to be missed full of fantastic brit pop mixed with classic rock and shoegaze jams that never want to end.
