Capital Region vocalist Kyla Silk hosted a benefit for the Kyle Robinson Foundation at Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs on January 21st bringing all of her friends and fans together for a special night. Along with a headlining performance, she was joined by Stonk and Otobo and sat in with both acts! In between set-breaks, Silk also played a few solo tunes to keep fans grooving all night long. We have to say, all three of these acts were very impressive and hope to see more of them in the future.

Kyla among many of her friends on stage all performed together throughout the years in the Albany, NY underground scene at places like Caesars Palace and The.laun.dro.mat. The acts coming out of this scene are our future favorite local acts. Kyla Silk has to have one of the best voices in the area let alone ALL of New York State. She can perform any genre and her own music is well written and played at the highest quality.

We also have to tip our hat to Putnam Place for continually allowing all types of genres and sizes of acts to play a show on their stage. This only makes the Capital Region music scene a better place, but singlehandedly gives local acts a home to go to. Check out our photos from Kyla Silk and Friends from over the weekend below:
