Soccer Mommy brought her latest tour in support of Sometimes, Forever to the House of Blues Boston on a warm November Sunday night. It was great to watch how engaged in the new album the crowd was, with nine of the eleven songs of the album played. It was a fairly quiet and laid back affair, but when Sophia Regina Allison and her band tore into some of the livelier songs of her catalog, the crowd roared in approval as well as jumping and dancing around the venue. The encore of “Don’t Ask Me” and “Your Dog” really put a rocking capper on the evening. Lightning Bug, making their last opening for the tour, were fantastic as well in the 30 minutes they were on stage. They won over the crowd pretty quickly and are worth your time when they come through on their own tour.
