This year’s Peach Music Festival brought all the best acts in the jam band scene right to Scranton, PA for another amazing year of music. One of the stand out sets from this year’s edition was Neighbor’s day set next to the water park.

The act comprised of Richard James (vocals, keys), Lyle Brewer (guitar), Dan Kelly (bass) and Dean Johnston (drums) lead with “in your face” jams in an aggressive manner staying away from the love and light for the most part. Neighbor has a well balanced repertoire that is mixed with smart improvisation. The biggest part is that they are different. Each member brings something unique to the band and genuinely look happy playing tunes with eachother.

Neighbor is also very accessible. Their team behind the scenes provides free recordings to almost if not all of their performances online and trust us, you are going to want to listen back. Their set at Peach Music Festival displayed the best of what the band provides for their fans and wow did they come out for their set. A band’s interactions with a crowd are an integral part of winning a fan over. This is something Neighbor is able to do with their fans and a prime example is their performance of their original “Cucamonga Carl.” Within the song the band encourages the crowd to roar with them, making a fun experience overall.

The band has shows booked all throughout the rest of the year including a notable performances at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY with Twiddle on November 26th and a headlining performance at Ardmore Music Hall in Ardmore, PA on November 5th.
