Interpol brought their latest tour in support of their upcoming seventh album, The Other Side of Make-Believe, to Boston’s newest venue Roadrunner this past week. The band touched on all seven of their albums, with Antics and Turn On the Bright Lights getting five songs each. A few tour debuts came including the premiere of “Gran Hotel” off the soon to be released album as well as crowd favorites “Not Even Jail” to close the set, and their first single “PDA” in the encore. The light show they currently have is one of the most intense seen so far this year. Tycho’s laid back set was welcomed warmly by the crowd and had some great visual projections from the back of the house on to a giant screen behind the band. The chill vibes were the perfect place setter before Interpol took the stage. Unknown to me, Matthew Dear’s set started a half hour before I got there due to a schedule change and I only caught part of one song, but it sounded pretty fantastic from what I heard.
