Sunflower Bean kicked off their 2022 tour in Boston at Brighton Music Hall this past weekend to an enthusiastic crowd. The tour is in support of their upcoming album, Headful of Sugar, which comes out this Friday. The band previewed a good amount of the new album and the audience, despite not knowing the songs outside of the couple of singles, was quite receptive to them. Julia Cumming, Nick Kivlen, and Olive Faber were having a blast on stage playing the new songs, but also tearing into some old favorites including “Twenty Two” , “Wall Watcher”, and the encore of “Somebody Call a Doctor”. The tour is going through the rest of the Spring and Summer and is not to be missed.
