Recap: Dark Star Orchestra Celebrate “April Fool Years” at Palace Theatre in Albany, NY
Dark Star Orchestra performed their “April Fool Year’s” show at the Palace Theatre in Albany, NY giving fans a night to remember. The show was the first of two nights for the Grateful Dead cover act which were originally scheduled for New Year’s Eve 2021.
The energy was alive all night long to say the least. It also marked 30 years to the date of the first concert Greg Bell of Guthrie Bell Productions promoted. As the balloons dropped, Greg Bell made a speech to the dedicated Captial Region fans that have been going to his shows throughout the years. Dark Star Orchestra performed the Grateful Dead’s 12/31/1981 show in Oakland, CA from front to back which featured incredible renditions of “Terrapin Station,” “Dark Star” and “Big Boss Man” just to name a few.
