Recap: Dogs In A Pile Honor Taylor Hawkins at Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs, NY

Dogs in a Pile returned to Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs, NY nearly selling out the room and honoring the late Taylor Hawkins during their second set. The New Jersey based jam band have been the buzz of the scene over the past year showing real potential to be a household name in the genre.
Opening the show was Pennsylvania based Yam Yam making their debut at the venue. Fans came early to check their set out and the band set the bar for energy throughout the rest of the night.
The Dogs played two standout sets getting the night started with “G Song” followed up by “Blues for Brian” which segued into an unique cover of Steppenwolf’s “Magic Carpet Ride.” A big highlight of the night was “Look Johnny” which featured a high energy jam within the song. The fun continued into the second set and eventually got emotional once the band busted out with Foo Fighter’s “My Hero” in honor of the late Taylor Hawkins.
