Gallery: illuminati hotties, Fenne Lily, and Pom Pom Squad at The Sinclair
Boston got hit hard with snow all day Friday leaving some to wonder if this show was going to even happen. Well not only did it happen, but all three bands on the bill put on outstanding sets. The banner behind iliminati hotties read “All Rip’as” and that is what they delivered from the moment they hit the stage until the band finished the evening. The snow did stop some of the crowd from coming, but everyone who was there sang along to all 13 song enthusiastically, which of course made Sarah Tudzin smile from ear to ear the whole time.
Fenne Lily was the middle band of the evening and their set was great. Fenne told the crowd what some of the songs were about, including one about a break up and a broken leg and Henry Miller, which led to a lot of laughs, but the song that followed was great. They were excited to play a couple of new ones for the crowd that haven’t been released yet. Pom Pom Squad opened the evening with a set of full rockers with much of the set being from their great album from last year “Death of a Cheerleader”. It was their first night joining the tour and anyone else seeing these shows should make sure to get there early for their set.
