Groovebeats Make Debut at Parish Public House in Albany, NY

Groovestick and the Deadbeats joined forces last night as “Groovebeats” at Parish Public House marking the first live musical event in Albany, NY. With numerous cancellations throughout New Year’s weekend due to the Omicron Covid-19 variant, the music of the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia saved the day. The group formation included Groovestick’s Dan Gerken(Bass), Chris Carballeria(keyboards), David Berger(Drums) and The Deadbeat’s Mike Johnson(Guitar).
The supergroup performed two lengthy sets which featured stellar versions of “Jack Straw”(Grateful Dead), “Atlantic City”(The Band) and “That’s What Love Will Make You Do”(Jerry Garcia. Even though this was the first time this formation performed live together, they were in sync the whole time creating a beautiful tribute to the “Grateful” music we all love.
