Gallery: Tennis and Molly Burch at Royale Boston
Like many bands Tennis had plans in 2020 and now that the live music industry is back up and running, those plans can continue. In a heartfelt thank you that came after an extraordinary set, Alaina Moore told the crowd how thankful she was to be doing this all again. She told us how touring used to give her anxiety, but since touring was taken away involuntarily, she has learned to remain calm and enjoy the experience now that we can all do it again. Pulling from mostly Yours Conditionally and Swimmer Tennis breezed through their set of dreamy rock and roll and had a near sold out crowd singing along with every one of the 19 songs played. Molly Burch opened the show with a fantastic set of songs that ranged from all out disco vibes to slower heartfelt songs that let her voice shine. This was pretty much a perfect pairing for a concert and by the smiles on everyone’s faces after they left the building and took their mask off, the evening was a glorious success.
