Caity Gallagher and Liam Davis

Bring a blanket and relax near the Savoy patio heaters or fire pits for an intimate performance by singer-songwriter Caity Gallagher. Her gorgeous voice and lyrical skills provide the perfect, comforting atmosphere for your cozy evening. Gallagher will perform with special guest Liam Davis. Caroline Rose with Joanna Sternberg
7 PM @ Empire Live, Albany | $20-$25
Indie rock artist Caroline Rose is known for her energetic sets so bring some energy to match! Her latest run celebrates Superstar, the fourth album in Rose’s repertoire, released last year. Called “a fiercely talented artist with omnivorous taste that extends from the hyper-pop of Grimes to the abstract electronic music of Suzanne Ciani,” by the likes of Pitchfork, she’ll put on a show you don’t want to miss. NYC singer-songwriter Joanna Sternberg will open the night so prepare for some lovely artistry and raw emotion.

Super Dark Days: Cronies, Schenectavoids, Parashi
6 PM @ Rare Form Brewing, Troy | FREE
NYC noise rockers Cronies, hard core punk crew Schenectavoids (you know where they’re from.) and Albany experimental crew Parashi will play the Rare Form patio, weather permitting. Come for the new, true sounds.

Hannah Amigo
7 PM @ Albany Distilling Co., Albany | FREE
Schenectady singer-songwriter Hannah Amigo recently made her debut at the ADCo patio. Now the powerful singer is back with a show of R&B, gospel, and soul covers, along with a handful of originals, performed with a talented band of local musicians. Come see your next favorite act. 

Ill Funk Ensemble
7 PM @ Center Street Pub, Schenectady
A slick mash-up of hip-hop, neo-soul, R&B and rock that’s been compared to The Roots, The Ill Funk Ensemble has been making steady waves in the independent music scene for the last few years, culminating in a win for Best R&B/Soul artist at the Artists in Music Awards in Los Angeles, California this past February. Check em out in downtown Schenectady.

Funk Evolution
8 PM @ Frog Alley Brewing, Schenectady
Called the “party authority” of the Capital Region, horn-fueled funk/R&B eight-piece Funk Evolution will bring the fun with their first performance at Frog Alley since their sold out event in August.

The Accidentals and Sawyer Fredericks
8 PM @ The Linda- WAMC Performing Arts Center, Albany | $20+
NPR called multi-instrumentalist trio The Accidentals “some of the most compelling writers of our time… they display equal interest in the focused musical forms of indie rock and pop and the expansive potential of orchestral arrangements, jam band open-endedness, and impressionistic singer-songwriter expression.” The band recently released their EP Time Out. Local Americana singer-songwriter, Sawyer Fredericks–known for his season eight win of NBC’s “The Voice,” will also be performing. He released his fourth album, Flowers for You, in 2020. 

SATURDAY, OCT. 23

Brandon “Taz” Niederauer with Groovestick
8:30 PM @ The Hollow Bar + Kitchen | $17
Eighteen-year-old Brandon “Taz” Niederauer, is known for his ferocious guitar playing. The young talent has performed in legendary venues across the country with many of his heroes (Acts like George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Dr. John, Gary Clark Jr., Buddy Guy, Stevie Nicks, Lady Gaga, Slash, Jon Batiste, Dweezil Zappa and more.) Where did this powerful talent come from? At age 12, Brandon was cast in the principal role of guitarist “Zack Mooneyham” in the Tony Award-nominated Andrew Lloyd Webber Broadway production, “School of Rock the Musical.” He’s hit the ground running ever since.

Saratoga Record Riot
10 AM @ Saratoga City Center, Saratoga Springs |$3-$10

Robyn Hitchcock
7 PM @ The Egg Performing Arts Center, Albany | $29.50+
British singer-songwriter Robyn Hitchcock is a surrealist poet and talented guitarist whose music is known for its blending of folk and psychedelia. Hitchcock founded art-rock band The Soft Boys in 1976 and went on to record more than 20 albums–the songs of which are described as “paintings you can listen to.”

The Face Off: Brittany Classic Versuz Tiff Hollyhood + Artist Showcase
