They say, “never miss a Sunday show,” but seldom has that been more true than this weekend in Williamsburg, New York, site of 2021’s highly anticipated Brooklyn Comes Alive. Returning this year after being canceled last March, the single day music marathon has earned a reputation for being something of a concert goers wet dream. Kicking off at 2pm, the event is set to take place in a single location, the innovative open-air courtyard of The Brooklyn Mirage.

As is tradition with Brooklyn Comes Alive, collaboration is the name of the game on Sunday. With a veritable who’s who of national, regional and local musicians, all world-class, music fans are virtually guaranteed to witness something that’s never been seen or heard before. The night will end with two headlining sets from trailblazing improv titans The Disco Biscuits, but fans will want to get into town early or miss the first ever trio performance from Dave Harrington, John Medeski and Joe Russo.

The bill also boasts a special collaborative set from Colorado funk mainstays The Motet, featuring special guests Jeremy Schon (guitar, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong), Shira Elias (vocals, Turkuaz), and Eric “Benny” Bloom (trumpet, Lettuce). The full lineup is rounded out with a unique dance party set from Break Science Live Band as well as a performance and DJ sets all night long from rising star Karina Rykman. SiriusXM host Ari Fink will also return once again to MC the festivities.

With so many talented friends in the same place at the same time, the potential sit-ins and collaborations are through the roof and should be enough to get any live music fan excited. In an effort to help both concert goers and artists alike feel safe, the event will require proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test within 72 hours prior to entry.
