PearlPalooza 2021 Fills Pearl Street With Smiles and Good Times; Focuses on Local
Pearlpalooza, the annual music festival that takes place on Pearl Street in Albany, NY made its return after a year off due to COVID. People of all ages came out to this wonderful free event filling the blocked off street with nothing but smiles and good times.
This year’s lineup featured a wide array of artists including Glass Pony, Timbre Coup, Jocelyn & Chris and Slothrust. There is usually two stages at PearlPalooza but only having one stage did not make much of a difference. People of Albany, NY and beyond were ready to party and get down to these carefully hand picked bands. The great thing about this street festival compared to other street festivals in Albany, NY is that PearlPalooza’s main focus is the music. That being said, having the backing of WEQX and High Peaks Event Production ensured nothing but quality tunes and an all around well put together package. This event remains to be free due to businesses like them.
Even Mayor Kathy Sheehan made an appearance raising a glass to honor all the hard work put into this year’s event. Just like in past years, PearlPalooza kicked off with YogaPalooza. If music isn’t your thing, another great thing about this festival is that their was a bunch of food and craft vendors and plenty of space to socialize on the blocked off pearl street. It seemed like there was at least a thousand people who attended this year. We already cannot wait for the 2022 PearlPalooza!
