NYC Mayor de Blasio Orders Proof Of Vaccination For Indoor Events
Starting September 13th, New York City will be enforcing a new proof of COVID vaccination for all indoor concerts. The announcement was made earlier this week by Mayor Bill de Blasio. With the rise in COVID cases across the United States due to the delta variant, the mayor hopes that this pushes non-vaccinated residents to get their shot.
De Blasio stated, “Not everyone is going to agree with this, I understand that…But for so many people, this is going to be a lifesaving act, that we are putting a mandate in place that is going to guarantee a much higher level of vaccination in this city. And that is the key to protecting people, and the key to our recovery.”
This new mandated law also applies to gyms, indoor dining and all other related indoor activities as well. If you would like to enter an indoor facility, you must have either your paper vaccine card or New York State’s Excelsior pass. Stay tuned for more updates.
