Documentary “Enormous: The Gorge Story” To Celebrate Legendary Venue
“Enormous: The Gorge Story,” a new documentary by Trafalgar Releasing celebrating the come-up of The Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington, will be released for one night only in select locations. Lucky for Capital Region live music and culture enthusiasts, it will play at the Regal Colonie Center theater July 21 at 7 p.m.
The Gorge had quite a come-up. Starting as a makeshift plywood stage at a family-owned winery, the venue eventually became internationally-renowned, attracting over 7 million fans and beloved musicians who made their pilgrimage to the farmland “150 miles from nowhere”. The documentary will explore just how the stage came to make such an impact on its performers, fans and community.
In addition to fan testimonials, “The Gorge” features personal stories from past performers such as Dave Matthews, Mike McCready, Jason Mraz, Dierks Bentley, and Steve Miller. The special screening event will include exclusive interviews with Hozier, Phantogram, and Portugal. The Man following the documentary, as well as a blooper reel and world premiere of “The Enormisodes” – five mini-documentaries about The Gorge.
