Dr. Dog Announces Final Tour To Kick Off Aug. 20
Philly’s indie psych rock heroes Dr. Dog have announced their latest—and final—tour as a band, shocking fans and (apparently) themselves. “It is a disturbing thing to read, I’m sure, and trust me, an equally unsettling thing to write, but it’s all good,” the band announced on Instagram June 7. “It’s important to us that you understand that this is not a break up or anything like that. We don’t know what Dr. Dog will do, we just know it won’t include going on tour, except the tour we’re announcing now, which is going to rule.” Kicking off their last hurrah in Arrington, VA Aug. 20, they’ll travel across the country (including Albany on Sept. 8) ending back in their hometown for a four-night run with a New Year’s Eve grand finale. See the full tour schedule here.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 11th at noon local. The band did announce, however, that “top secret” pre-sale takes place Tuesday, June 8 at noon ET by using the password DRDOGLIVE. At the time of publication, the pre-sale does not apply to every show on tour, though it does apply to the Albany concert for our hometown readers.
