Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Weezer Revive Hella Mega Tour

Pop-punk kids rejoice! Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer will come to 21 cities across the United States on a triple-hitter tour starting July 24 in Dallas and wrapping up in Seattle Sept. 6 for their Hella Mega Tour. Los Angeles ska band The Interrupters will open for the three headliners.

The tour was originally scheduled for summer 2020. The three bands released a joint statement cancelling the run last May due to public safety concerns following the COVID-19 outbreak. As the bands stated, tickets purchased for the 2020 tour will still be honored. The revived 2021 tour also included a run through Europe and the UK. As of April 28, these dates have been postponed to 2022.

The bands have done a solid job keeping themselves on the music industry radar ahead of their shows. Weezer topped the Billboard Top Album Sales chart with their latest project Van Weezer. Green Day has released a new single “Pollyanna” following their 2020 album Father of All Motherfuckers, a 26-minute romp celebrated for its carefree spirit. Tickets for the Hella Mega Tour are on sale now.
