Dead & Company Announce Extensive 2021 Tour
Dead & Company have finally announced that they will be driving that train across the country for a massive tour this year. The band will be playing over 30 dates to make up for lost time due to Covid-19. While music may be the main focus for the group, they shared that “The tour and all venues will be following all mandated precautions in accordance with state and local regulations so as to provide the most secure, Covid-19-free environment possible,” ensuring fans that the long strange trip will be a safe one.
The tour kicks off August 16th at Coastal Credit Union Music Park in Raleigh, NC followed by a performance in Bristow, VA on August 18th at Jiffy Lube Live. Dead & Company will then head up to the northeast for a grand return to Citi Field in New York, NY on August 20th and then over to Philadelphia, PA at Citizens Bank Park. They will then play three dates in New York, One in Bethel, NY on August 23rd, Darien, NY on August 25th and Saratoga Springs, NY on August 27th.
Dead & Company’s tour extends all the way into October with a three night finale at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA October 29th-31st. The last time Bob Wier, Bill Keutzmann, Micky Hart, John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti played collectively together was back in January 2020 for their annual ‘Playing in the Sand’ event in Mexico. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, May 21st at 12pm. Presale ticketing begins Wednesday, May 19th at 10am and runs until Thursday, May 20th at 10pm. See full list of tour dates below:
