Pigeons Playing Ping Pong Announce ‘Domefest: Party In The Pods’
Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will be hosting Domefest in a socially distant manner this year labeling the festival ‘Party In The Pods.’ This socially distant festival takes place on May 21st-22nd, 2021 at Legend Valley in Thornville, OH. Due to the pandemic, the Baltimore based jam band had to cancel last year’s festival and instead hosted it online calling it Homefest. What fans can expect from this pod style set up is a safe environment where there is enough distance between your pod and another pod. Each pod can hold from 2-5 people and are approximately 8 feet by 8 feet.
There will also be limited camping spaces and VIP passes for fans trying to make Domefest feel like an actual festival environment. In a press release, Pigeon’s Playing Ping Pong singer/guitarist Greg Ormont stated “Obviously we’ve been keeping a close eye on the pandemic and vaccine as it relates to live events. Domefest always kicks off our summer with a bang, and we think this year’s Party In The Pods will be the best way for our fans to get together and cut loose in the safest way possible. I can’t describe how excited we are to finally play in front of The Flock again.”
As of now, Domefest will include a performance from Pigeons Playing Ping Pong each night, there has yet to be an announcement about any other acts. Although, there will be a collaborative set with other musicians for the festival’s “Domefest All-Stars” act which happens at the festival each year. Tickets go one sale to the general public at 10am ET. Click here for more information on ticketing and safety protocols.
