Metallica Raises Over $100,000 From Concert Streaming For ‘All Within My Hands’ Foundation

 

Metallica has figured out not only to reach their fans through the pandemic, but also raising over $100,000 along the way. They were able to do this through concert streaming. The metal giants have their own free #MetallicaMondays concert series that happens on YouTube and Facebook and gives the option to donate to the band ‘All Within My Hands’ Foundation while watching the show.

The series features performances from all along their nearly 40 year career and gives fans something to look forward to each and every week. All the videos from the series are still up on YouTube for people to watch.

The band stated via Blabbermouth, “Throughout these #MetallicaMondays, the band paired the concerts with fundraisers. It seemed like a way we could bond together to support so many hurting from the effects of the pandemic with the plan to make modest donations to Feeding America and Direct Relief. What we didn’t know then was that the need for a major response was ahead of us, or that AWMH(All Within My Hands) would eventually contribute $645k to COVID relief efforts!”

Metallica also gotten together virtually and recorded a brand new version of “Blackened” from their ‘And Justice For All album back in May. They have also announced a limited run of #MetallicaMondays t-shirts at are available on the band’s website.
