Skater XL Set To Release On All Major Video Game Platforms This July
Looking to fill the void that EA’s Skate left for all skateboarding fans and gamers? Well, we are excited to share that skateboarding video game Skater XL is finally set to release on Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC this July. Let’s not forget, this is the first major skateboarding video game release in over a decade The game will feature a fully designed and skateable Downtown Los Angeles replicating some of the most famous skateboarding spots in the city. What differentiates Skater XL from the rest of the skateboarding games is the realism that the game provides. There was a huge jump is the authenticity when EA’s Skate series challenged Tony Hawks Pro Skater but this game has taken it to another level.
Skater XL is all about board control and with that, Easy Day Studios developed a system allowing full board control using a combination of the joysticks which are assigned to each foot. The game will allow you to create your own character or even skate as one of the pro skaters! Tom Asta, Tiago Lemos, Brandon Westgate and Evan Smith will all be joining the fun. The game has been in early-access for quite some time allowing feedback to the game designers. Check out the trailer to Skater XL below:
