Tenacious D Announce “The Purple Nurple’ Tour
Comedy rockers Tenacious D have announced that they will be heading out on a fall tour calling it “The Purple Nurple” Swing State tour. In a statement, the band said “Donald Trump has proven to be the most divisive, corrupt and dangerous President in the modern history of this country…And we simply cannot stand for another four years of his administration! Now is the time to elect a REAL leader.” Tenacious D’s tour is in partnership with 46 for 46 to not only raise awareness about the upcoming election, but to also encourage people to vote.
The 10 date tour kicks off on September 25th at Adler Theatre in Davenport, IA followed by a date at The Sylvee in Madison, WI on September 26th. Next, the band comprised of Jack Black and Kyle Gass will head to Kalamazoo, MI for a performance at the Kalamazoo State Theatre on September 27th and another Midwest date on September 29th in Cincinnati, OH. The two man band then makes their way south for shows at Wilson Theatre in Wilmington, NC on October 1st and at Moran Theatre in Jacksonville, FL on October 2nd. The tour wraps up with two northeastern performance first at The Met Philly on October 7th and October 9th at Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan, NY.
