Twiddle’s Valentine’s Day Run took place over the weekend making stops at the Palace Theatre in Albany, NY this past Friday, and Saturday at the State Theatre in Portland, ME. Supporting Twiddle on relentlessly loving weekend run was Wild Adriatic and Strange Machines.

Night 1 featured many highlights including an “Apple” sandwich which featured “Apples” into “Every Soul” featuring Lowell Wurster from Lucid on the washboard, into the technical “Beehop” finally going back into “Apples.” During “Hattie’s Jam/When it Rains it Pours,” the group teased “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.” Guitarist Mihali Savoulidis was also playing a brand new DGN guitar which has the same shape as his other relatively new guitars but has a glossy wood finish with an engraved Mihali logo near the bridge at the bottom of the guitar. The band did not perform an encore due to running out of time.

On day 2 of the Valentine’s Day Run, the three bands made their way up north to the sold out State Theatre in Portland, ME where Wild Adriatic got the night started with a rocking rendition of Led Zeppelin’s “Were Gonna Groove.” During Strange Machines’ set, Mihali sat in for some “high-def shred” with guitarist Mike Macdonald. Twiddle wasted no time and opened the night with a heavy “Nicodemus Portulay” into “Gatsby The Great” followed by another classic, “Zazus Flight” back into “Gatsby The Great.” Set 2 opened with a top shelf version of “Blunderbuss” and also included the fan favorite, “Jamflowman.” The Valentine’s day run ended with a two song encore featuring “Syncopated Healing” and “Juggernaut.” Check out set-lists and a gallery from both nights of the two night run below:
