Twiddle gave their fans a treat by playing a fan-selected show at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, MA to kick off their two night New Years Run. Earlier in the week Twiddle shared a poll online give fans the choice to pick what songs they wanted to hear. Many fans rallied for rarities while others picked fan favorites. The show kicked off with high-def shred version “Blueberry Tumble” into “Dinner Fork.” Following these two instrumentals, “Beehop” was up next off their album  Somewhere on the Mountain. These three tunes selected by fans really show how technical the Vermont Quartet can get. Twiddle then hopped back into “Blueberry Tumble” finishing off the four song segue. “White Light” off Plump was up to bat, which had everyone singing along right before hopping into “River Drift” transitioning back into “White Light.” To finish up the set, the group sandwiched “Just Gravy” in between a high energy version of “Doinkinbonk”

After a brief intermission, Twiddle busted out with “Honeyburste.” Not only was this a rarity, but a select group of fans decided that if Twiddle played the song that night, they would all get honey bee tattoos. Twiddle then broke out with one of their character songs “Zazu’s Flight” only then to go back right into “Honeyburste.” The second set also included one of Twiddle’s newest songs “Mistakes.” After closing out the second set with “Lost in the Cold,” Twiddle got back on stage to encore with Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise” tipping their hat to the Paradise Rock Club. An after-show followed with Eggy playing at Great Scott down the street featuring bassist Zdenek Gubb and a sit in from Ryan Dempsey.
