Dark Star Orchestra Sells Out State Theatre in Portland, ME

Dark Star Orchestra played to a sold out crowd at the State Theatre in Portland, ME over the weekend. The beloved Grateful Dead cover band typically plays a show based upon a Grateful Dead performance re-creating the vibe and rhythms from the group but during the show guitarist Rob Eaton addressed the crowd and said “if you haven’t figured out by now we’re doing our own setlist tonight.” See below for full setlist. Keyboardist Rob Barraco dedicated the performance to the late Robert Hunter. 

The group has been on a tear with fully immersed in tour mode playing tonight at Higher Ground in Burlington, VT and tomorrow night(Nov 19th) at the State Theatre in Ithaca, NY. Dark Star Orchestra then starts up a weekend run of dates on Thursday at the Fillmore in Philadelphia, PA on November 21st; followed by a date at the College Street Music Hall in New Haven, CT on November 22nd; then finishing up the weekend playing in Providence, RI at the Strand Ballroom on November 23rd and Tarrytown, NY on November 24th.
