EA Renews Trademark For ‘Skate’ Video Game Series
Electronic Arts, one of the largest video game publishers in the world has renewed the trademark for the beloved Skate series. The last time EA came out with a game from this series was Skate 3 back in 2010. Since then skateboarders have had to either keep blowing the dust off their old video game systems, play the third version backwards compatible on the Xbox One or switch to alternatives like Skater XL or Project Session whom both are still in game preview mode.
So where is Skate 4 you may ask? Well with this update, we can only hope by EA trademarking the series once again, and pressure from other developers that the game will finally come out. It has been 9 long years, the game is still in limbo and according to GamesRadar+, EA most likely filed for the trademark as a precaution to make sure the skateboarding video game’s IP is still protected. All in all, the game is still in limbo leaving skateboarders only to hope for their next favorite skateboarding video game. Until then, keep your Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on your shelves!
