Kanye West Announces Date for “Jesus Is King”

Kanye West’s career has been one of twists and turns. He’s made a household name for himself, for better or for worse. The star rapper / clothing designer / provocateur /  etcetera has, after some false starts, announced an “official” release date for his newest album, Jesus Is King.

West announced the date on Twitter, accompanied by an image of the vinyl for the record. The album is said to drop the same day that a documentary of the same name is supposed to hit theaters.

This album follows last year’s ye and West’s collaboration with fellow rapper Kid Cudi for Kids See Ghosts. Jesus Is King was originally supposed to drop September 27th, and then September 29th, and now at the end of this week (October 25th). He has said that he is exclusively making gospel music from now on.

October 25th is coming up fast, so we’ll find out for sure if Jesus Is King will be released this Friday. West has been holding his Sunday Service events every week since the new album was supposed to drop.
