Are Weezer, Green Day and Fall Out Boy Going On Tour? It Sure Looks Like It

Are Weezer, Green Day and Fall Out Boy Going On Tour? It Sure Looks Like It

Calling all pop-punk fans — your “mega” tour dreams might just be coming true.

From mysterious flyers being passed around throughout California and Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong tagging Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo and Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz in an Instagram post with the phrase “hella mega” on Rainn Wilson’s Instagram post, things are happening with these three bands. There is also a website of the same name as the social media accounts, which just has a GIF of Wilson’s Dwight from The Office making a shushing gesture and a password box that no one can seem to crack (author’s note: I tried, and it’s not “ruotagemalleh”, so I’m officially all out of guesses).

The Green Day frontman also posted a video on Instagram wearing a shirt with Fall Out Boy and Weezer’s logo on it while singing an edited version of “Wake Me Up When September Ends” (changing the lyrics to “Wake me up on September 10th”, respectively). It’s safe to say these three bands are planning something.

There are mysterious, private Instagram accounts (see: @HellaMegaTour on Twitter and Instagram) and tons of fan speculation. ‘Hella Mega’ was also written on Billie Joe’s t-shirt in the video. Fans have been receiving mysterious packages, including these t-shirts. Social media has been going wild with rumors, with Reddit threads filled with eager fans asking questions and making comments and Twitter users sharing the aforementioned t-shirts they received out of the blue.

September 10th could be one Hella Mega day for fans of all three famous groups. Keep your eyes peeled. 7th grade me is screaming.
