The End of July Has Non-Stop Shows at SPAC
(Writer: Courtney Guttenberg)
It’s been a killer year at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center so far. All different genres and musicians have graced the SPAC stage (and we’ve been at a few of these awesome performances), and there’s WAY more to come.
On July 24th, Rob Thomas (best known for being the frontman of Matchbox 20) is performing with special guest Abby Anderson for the Chip Tooth Tour at a pavilion only performance. The following day is great for all those country fans, as Brad Paisley’s World Tour with special guests Chris Lane & Riley Green will be in the Ampitheatre.

Friday night will see Train and the Goo Goo Dolls with opener Allen Stone, which is a treat for all the 90s kids as well as all of their fans that have seen both bands follow commercial successes in the 2010s with “Hey Soul Sister” and “Come to Me”.
Accomplished blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa plays on July 27th, with a treat for the kids on Sunday — Kidz Bop World Tour hits the stage for an early show at 4:00pm. After this five day stretch of shows, SPAC has The Albany Med Performance Project as well as Fela! The Concert on Monday, July 29th, for more family programming.
Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Three Days Grace, Dorothy and Diamante play on the 30th of the month, marking one of three nu-metal shows that will be at the performing arts center this season as well as one of the final shows of July.
August holds even more shows, and the season is filled with great musicians all the way up to September — country legend Willie Nelson just got announced for September for the Outlaw Music Festival, featuring Bonnie Raitt, Alison Krauss and the Brothers Osborne. Stoked!
