Smash Mouth Plays Schenectady Summer Nights

July 12th marked another annual Summer Nights celebration in downtown Schenectady, a free night of fun and music for people of all ages. The event was headlined by Smash Mouth, who played to a massive crowd.

Smash Mouth wasn’t the only band who played the fest — on the opposite side of the area was the WEQX stage, which hosted Joe Mansman and the Midnight Revival Band, Sly Fox and the Hustlers, and Honey Suckle Vine. Battle of the Bands winners Bendt and Hasty Page played the main stage before Smash Mouth performed.

The headliner played for about an hour and made sure to include fan favorites — “Walking on the Sun”, “I’m a Believer” and of course, “All Star”. The band closed with their hit, and the night was closed with a fireworks display.

Smash Mouth also played in the Capital Region last year, for Albany’s Fourth of July celebration. If you missed locals Hasty Page, you can see them July 24th at Rockin’ on the River in Troy and July 25th at Alive at 5 in Albany.
