Patch Road Releases New Single Titled “The Chemical”

(Writer: Frankie Cavone)

Upstate, NY based band Patch Road has released a brand new single titled “The Chemical” for their upcoming album “Lovely Little Shadow” which is set to be released this August. The band featuring Matt Hogan(Guitar/Vocals), Matthew McLaren(Lead Guitar), Michael Lang(Bass) and Adam McLaren recorded the bulk of the material with the help of recording engineer Tanner Mayone at his studio in Saugerties, NY. The art for the cover was created with help from photographer Michael Lang and designer Matt Hogan.

Hogan states, “The Chemical is a song recognizing the fact that people change. Humans are not static creatures and therefore relationships change over time. In this song I’m showing the anger I felt over love lost. The girl I loved was growing as a person and felt that she had to move on. Looking back on it, this song is a portrait of denial and blame. I was angry with the situation, and I was angry with myself. It’s a song that I feel like a lot of people should be able to relate to.” For more information on Patch Road, stay tuned to Mirth Films.
